Trying out a new backdrop

I picked up this piece of fabric that I thought would be a fun backdrop.

Oh so sweet

Dressing herself

You have to love a childs idea of coordinating. Naomi believes that because her dress both have polka dots on them they must match. Thought I better capture it now.

More from tonight

Olivia and Grace were pretty excited to find out that they had matching dresses. (not from the Matilda Jane line). Darn cute!

Here are couple of cuties having fun tonight at the show.

Matilda Jane Showing

Naomi modeling a piece for us. (of course I had to have it)

Suzie and I trying on some of the "adult clothing". Or should I say womens.

We just finished up the Matilda Jane showing and we all had a great time. I am just sitting here at my desk looking at the leftover brownies and bottle of wine wondering what kind of headache I would have in the morning if I just cleaned it up. ;)

The show went really well and I fell in love with some beautiful dresses that I purchased for the girls. Rich was happy to hear that the outfits I wanted for myself are sold out. Bummer for me though because they were super cute and made out of a wonderful soft cotton material.

Anyway, I will stop babbling. Here are couple of shots from tonight.

Matilda Jane Showing Tonight

I am just getting the studio ready for tonights Matilda Jane showing at 6:30pm. I am really excited to see all of the adorable outfits. I got word last night that some of the items are already sold out so I am feeling the pressure of wanting to buy everything NOW!! (wish I could) The neat thing is that these outfits are so unique and you won't see them everywhere you go. Once they are sold out you have to wait until next season for the opportunity to get your hands on more unique pieces. The prices are not outrageous either, my favorite dresses are around $45 each. Not too bad since I just walked into Gymboree and the dress in the front was $68.

Everyone is welcome to come tonight, take a peek and have a snack on me. Bring a friend - the more the merrier. I love to chat!

I was so fired up to find out that some of pictures I shot were posted on Matilda Jane's blog which has been bringing in business throughout the U.S. This has been my dream - what a blessing!!

Olivia turning 7

So I decided to take Olivia down to Oshkosh to try and find a new pair of pants since she is growing and I don't think there is a flood coming anytime soon. As I come in to Appleton I see this white brick wall and get inspired to take a quick picture of her. Of course, I had not brought my camera so I called my sister-in-law Lisa and asked her to jump in the van and bring her camera. It didn't matter that she was in her jammies since I was going to let her wait in the car for us. Anyway, I am just looking at this photo and thinking that she looks way too grown up. Where did seven years go?

Bubble Gum Machine

My dad just got this bubble gum machine and it inspired me to take some pictures today! It was still a little chilly so I have some crabby girls right now. I guess I may have to pull out the hot chocolate. ;) Chocolate always makes a girl happy right?

Polka Dot Pants

Who would have thought that a pair of polka dot pants would inspire me to do a mini photo shoot of little Naomi. I found these pants on clearance last night and thought they were so cute that I had to photograph them. Naomi LOVES the pants and doesn't want to take them off. That is a big improvement since she usually wears undies or an old dance outfit all day.

Talking to Grandma

Here are some funny pictures from today where Naomi was pretending to talk to Grandma on the phone. I was unpacking some things from the garage and brought this phone in the house. Who knew she could have so much fun with it?

Spring Shooting

So...I was getting pretty fired up for spring and all ready to do some outdoor shoots and here we are getting another big pile of snow. I don't even know how much, maybe up to 8 inches. Oh, well back to some winter shots while we still can. I thought I would put a couple more images on here from the Matilda Jane shoot since it was so much fun. We had so many onlookers during this shoot. I thought for a moment my daughter had 2 heads the way people were stopping and staring, but when they said how cute she was my heart just melted and really I was thinking "I know". She was darn cute this day. She never walked down the street...she skipped while she was holding my hand. I wish I could have gotton that on video. Life's precious moments you don't want to forget. Before I know it she won't want to be holding my hand anymore.

I have all these ideas for shooting images of babies and it's hard to believe that I don't have a little baby anymore. Now I need to borrow my friends babies. It seems like just yesterday I was nursing around the clock and never leaving the house because my shirt was always wet and dirty. People are not kidding when they say it goes quickly.

Stealing a kiss.

Matilda Jane Shoot

So I am really excited about this shoot I am doing tommorow. I am going to be hosting a Matilda Jane Party here at my studio on Thursday, March 19th that is open to all my friends, family, clients and their friends. We are shooting some of the new clothing line so I can send out an email to show off how beautiful it is. Matilda Jane is a boutique clothing line for little girls that is totally unique and fun. I will post some pictures after the shoot. If anyone is interested in coming to the party please let me know, it will be a great time!

Here is a shot of Naomi wearing one of the MJ outfits from last season. Super cute!

Silly Naomi trying out a new backdrop. This is what I get when I say don't look at me. LOL

The girls were totally getting into doing a photoshoot tonight. I prefer natural lighting so I didn't get too many shots. Well I am scrapbooking Friday night so I guess I should have a handful for that anyway.

New backdrops

So I went to the fabric stores today and picked up some new backdrop material. Here are two pictures that I just shot.

Excellence Award

Here is that shot of my friends daughter that got me the Excellence Award. I was so thrilled to see that pretty ribbon on the corner of my print. Thank you so Carollynn for having such a beautiful little girl!!

Here is a cute little baby girl that I brought into Naomi's room for a quick couple of pictures. It makes you want a couple more! I had so much fun with her.

Just got back from convention

I am so fired up to start a new blog for Kimberly V Photography. There are always fun stories to share and also some darn cute photos. Here we go...I just got back from our state photography convention and I am so fired up to take some new pictures. This was the first time I entered a picture in the print competition and I received my first ribbon on excellence this weekend. I am so excited! I guess I really can be a photographer. I have been so blessed with this wonderful business and have so many clients that have become great friends. ;)
