Photography playdate

So my friend Jennifer came over today to get the babys together so the mommys could take pictures of them. I just had to post a pic of how things are done behind the scenes. Here is Jennifer breastfeeding baby Laela while I am photographing baby Amelia in the basket. (I also posted the final result) LOL!!!! This is how we mommy's work!! Some days we spend 90 percent of the time nursing our babys just to get them to sleep. That's why they are so chunky!!! LOLOL!!!!

Baby Amelia has arrived!!

Our newest addition to the Van Sistine arrived on the evening of July 6th at home!! Amelia Elizabeth weighing 9lbs, 2oz and 21 inches long. It was the most wonderful home birth right here in my very own whirlpool tub. I wish I would have done this much sooner, I felt so great to have the comforts of home like my own bed, tub and of course yummy treats. After a day of swimming and walking I finally asked my midwife to break my water at around 9:30pm since I was already dialated to 8cm!!! Within an hour Amelia arrived healthy and happy. We feel so blessed to have been given another daughter. I will be taking a few weeks off to enjoy all of our 4 beautiful girls!!

Sweet Funky Vintage

I started shooting for another boutique this week and thought I would share some of the images with you. They are going to be putting these to print in their catalog so I am super excited!!! My dream is to one day shoot a childrens clothing catalog so right now I am trying to build up my portfolio. This boutique is called "Sweet Funky Vintage". They are currently in the process of having all of the clothing photographed so I am not sure when they will be updating their site and blog.

9 months along

OMG, it's like I completely forgot about blogging as I am waiting for our new baby to arrive. Why does it have to be so hard at the end? I get so frusterated when people ask if I had that baby yet or when they laugh at how big my belly is. So, I still thought I would post one of my recent pics that my good friend Stacy shot for me. She is going to be photographing the birth for us so I am really excited to be able to create a book of memories of this special event.

We have been documenting every step of this pregnancy and I am praying for a really special birth as well. I would love any prayers from you all that the delivery goes wonderfully!! I am planning my first water birth so we will see if it really is less painful like all the books say. LOL!! Hopefully soon I will be posting newborn pics to share with all of you. I am only 9 days away from my due date, but sooner would be just great too!!!

Tonights trunk show

So as I was setting up for tonights trunk show Naomi spotted this adorable bird dress and just had to have it. So, needless to say we are buying the sample dress from the trunk. I was just told that there is a matching dress that can be made for her American Girl doll - how wonderful is that for a 3 year old!!! I am excited for all ladies to come and visit me!!!

Trunk show

This Thursday night we are having a trunk show at Kimberly V Photography from 6-8pm. ZOZOBUGBABY is the clothing company that will be shipping a trunk for all to shop from. This is the last show of the season so we are able to purchase sample pieces right from the display. HOORAY!!! I also am going to be having photo jewerly on display and several frames marked way below cost. I have the urge to clean and have a lot of frames sitting around here. I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!!! I have already gotton a great response so it's going to be a super fun event!!!

A day in the life of a photographer

I had to share a couple of images from todays shoot. As photographers we have a really special bond and we love to get together to take pictures. It's always funny to watch other photographers copy our work and then post it on their blog or website!! LOL We really do get a kick out of that. Today we were all photographers photographing each other. My friend Jennifer is due to have her baby on Thursday and i am only 8 weeks away. We thought this would be the perfect time to capture this moment in our lives before the little bundles of joy arrived. My very good friend Stacy is an awesome photographer and she has been kind enough to capture some really fun pictures of me during this pregnancy. I am pretty sure this is my last pregnancy so I really wanted to have some fun memories!!!
